If you would like to know more about me - I began writing for children after working with them for many years and after graduating from James Madison University with a B.S. in Psychology. Then, after writing and submitting manuscripts for years, I had my first series published, the Why Do series. In these eight books, a question is asked and then a silly and funny answer is given before the real answer is given. I then had a spin-off series of the Why Do books, that begin with How Do. These two books also give a silly answer before the real answer is given to make learning fun. I also have two fairy tale retellings that include Little Red Riding Hood and The Little Pink Rosebud. Last but not least, I have a series that includes six books full of onomatopoeia, a little alliteration and rhyme and a guessing game! This is the Sounds From the... series.
Other than writing, I enjoy reading, baking, hiking, going for bike rides and traveling. I have driven all over the United States and I especially enjoy visiting National Parks. I have been to 46 out of the 50 states and I am planning on getting to those last states one day. I have also been to the Caribbean a few times, to Mexico and Canada. I also hope to do more traveling outside of the United States. I enjoy doing all of my hobbies with my husband, Ryan.
